Barger

Mrs. Mary Jeanette Barger, 92, of Marana, Arizona, formerly Springfield, Missouri, went to be with our Lord on April 10, 2021.
Jeanette was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 16, 1928 to Elijah and Glane Richardson. She married the love of her life, Chuck Barger, on November 2, 1946. Together they raised four children, Stephen, Sheila, Melody, and Eric.
Jeanette retired from General Electric in Springfield, Missouri, and then continued to pursue her many creative passions in life including, sewing and crocheting, painting, and collecting artwork. She enjoyed traveling with her family and her favorite destination was always a beautiful ocean and warm beach. She was known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Nana. Her great grandchildren would always tell her "Nana, you are so loved!" She will be remembered for her deep love of the Bible and God's word. She was a loving, caring, and selfless woman who loved her family. She was loved greatly and appreciated by all. She will be missed immensely by all her friends and family.
Jeanette is proceeded in death by her husband of 64 years, Chuck Barger, and by her eldest son, Stephen F. Barger. She is survived by her children, Sheila Beckman (Steve), Melody Simmons (Greg), and Eric Barger, her daughter-in-law Mary Barger (Stephen), her 9 grandchildren, her 12 great-grandchildren, and her 2 great-great-grandchildren, and countless other family and friends.
The family would like to send a special thank you to her wonderful caregivers at Desert Dreams Adult Care and Casa de la Luz Hospice, of Tucson, Arizona for their unending compassion.
Interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
