Jeanette Armes, age 92, departed this world home August 28, 2024. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 2, 1932 to Alfred and Ruby Horstman. The love of her life J. Clebert Armes preceded her in death in 2000. Her parents, brother Cal, sister Sherry and son Terry have all also entered into eternal rest.

The Armes farmed in Nebraska and raised cattle on a ranch in the Galena area. they owned and operated several businesses in OK, AR and Branson before retiring to Springfield in 1991.

She is survived by her son, Rick Armes and grandchildren Cori and Colt Armes and several nieces and nephews who were all very precious to her.

Jeanette was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Jeanette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always saw the good in people and was very forgiving.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery.
