Jean Rae Wright passed away on December 22, 2016 in Cox Hospital, Springfield MO. She was born in 1935 in Garrison, Iowa to Leland and Miriam Pieper. After graduating from High School in 1952, she attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated in 1956 with a degree in teaching. She taught school in Orono, Minnesota for over 40 years. She was passionate about making a difference in her students' lives. In 1978, she married Jim Wright, who passed away in 1992. After retiring from teaching, Jean moved to Springfield, MO in 1998 to be closer to family.

She is survived by her three sisters, twin Joan Johnson of Springfield MO, Mary Kinsey of Lindale TX, and Carol Seebach of Gurnie, IL; 5 step-children, James S. Wright, Dennis Wright, David Wright, Susan Dulde, and Thomas Wright; and many more family members and friends. Per her request, no special services are planned.
