Eugenia Clara Pirner, 91, Nixa, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 in Magnolia Square. She was born January 5, 1922 in St. Clement, Missouri, the daughter of Herman Eugene and Helen Otillia Schuckenbrock Hustedde. Jean was united in marriage to the love of her life, Harold Lewis Pirner on October 4, 1942. She worked at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church school cafeteria for over 25 years. She and Harold loved to travel and were very active square dancers. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; two brothers and three sisters. Jean is survived by her son, Kenny Pirner, Nixa; daughter and her husband, Theresa and Jim Collins, Springfield; two grandchildren, Gabe Collins and wife, Shay; and Angela Collins; two great-grandchildren, Dalton and Hailey Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 844 South Gregg Road, Nixa, with Msgr. Thomas E. Reidy, celebrant, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation will follow the mass in the church. Jean will be laid to rest alongside Harold in a private family burial in Springfield National Cemetery.
