Jean Marie (Aitken) Heston, 89, Republic, passed from this life peacefully on Thursday September 6, 2018, to be with the Lord.  She was surrounded by her loving family.  Born October 4, 1928 in Deer Lake, Newfoundland, Canada, Jean was the second daughter of Ernest P. and Ann E. Aitken.  Jean graduated from Immaculate Conception Catholic High School and then attended St Georges Convent in Stephenville, NL for a period of time.  At the time of the Korean War she worked as a clerical secretary on the Ernest Harmon Air Force Base where she met the love of her life, Wayne E Heston. They were married Sept 1953.  Having moved to the United States, Wayne and Jean raised seven children throughout the U.S.  Jean pursued a career of love and devotion to Wayne and all "7 Kids".  There wasn't a neighbor or friend of their children that didn't immediately take to Jean's compassion, warmth and love.   Jean thoroughly loved the annual visits back home to Deer Lake with her entire family where she reunited with lifelong friends and family. Jean was proud to show her children the honest values and love of Newfie life that she greatly held dear to her heart.  Jean was an avid bowler and played in leagues almost all of her life (having beat both oldest and youngest sons not too long ago). She enjoyed Bingo and a "good hot cup a tea".  She was a parishioner of St Joseph's Catholic Church, Billings MO and was active with the Sisters of Queen of Heaven Solitude when she could "catch a ride" with them until her illness progressed.  Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Annie Aitken, sister Joan Aitken, husband Wayne Heston; daughters Carolyn (Heston) Goure and Jacklyn Heston; and grandson Nathan Goure.  She is survived by sons, Dirk L. Heston, Kirk E. (Sheila) Heston, John A. (Linda) Heston, Bart W. Heston; daughter, Joan E. Heston; (9) grandchildren, Travis Heston, Kyla (Heston) Garner, Chad Heston, Rebekah Goure, Michael Heston, Meagan Heston, Emily Heston, Stephanie Heston and Haley Heston;  (4) great grandchildren, Landon Goure, Cameron Heston, Peyton Heston and Libby Heston.

Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4 ^th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Billings, MO with Rev Augustine Njuu celebrant.  Burial will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery 2:00 pm.
