Jean Bennett Foster, 86, went to her Heavenly rest on July 14, 2012. Her daughters were by her side holding her hands as she peacefully slipped away. Jean was born on January 2, 1926 to O.D. and Winifred Bennett in Peace Valley, Missouri. She was baptized as a young girl at First Baptist Church in Willow Springs, Missouri. She married Morris Foster on March 13, 1948 and together they raised two daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris and two sisters Madge Spence and Eloise Mitchell. The Lord blessed us with a loving mother who always wished the best for her daughters. She was so proud of her grandchildren and supported them in every way she could. Her great grandchildren put a smile on her face even when she was very ill. Jean is survived by one brother, Melvin Bennett and wife, Maxine of Grain Valley, Mo; two daughters, Margaret Butler and husband Steve of Springfield and Brenda Anderson and fiancé Dave Lefevers of Joplin; five grandchildren, Christopher Butler and wife Angela of Nixa, Melissa Woycheese and husband Craig of Springfield, Leeds Butler of Broomfield, Co, Ashley Suitt and husband Jason of Fayetteville, AR, and Tyler Anderson of Oklahoma City; and four great grandchildren, Sophie and Maya Woycheese, Alex Butler, and Etta Mae Suitt. Jean is also survived by Delbert Spence and Wayne Foster, brothers-in law and Ruth Foster, sister-in- law. Many loving nieces and nephews visited, called, sent cards and letters to Aunt Jean over the years. There will be a graveside service at Springfield National Cemetery officiated by Pastor Danny Chisholm on Friday, July 27 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
