Jean Middlemas Bair Davis, age 81 of Springfield, Mo. passed away at 6:35 pm Thursday December, 3 2009 in Cox South Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 7, 1928 in the family's farm home west of Springfield to Robert Oliver and Susan Ellen Palmer Middlemas, one of 11children. Jean was a graduate of Willard High School, class of 1946 and attended Drury College. She was a long time employee of Southwestern Bell, retiring in 1986 after 38 years of service. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by 8 siblings, her son Donald Mark Bair and his wife Dana; 3 grandchildren Sean, Whitney and Hailey Bair, also, her sister Ida Belle Ball and brother, John Middlemas, all of Springfield. Visitation will be from 2pm to 3pm Tuesday December 8, 2009 under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home and officiated by Reverend Vernon Henson, followed by a private family burial service in Murray Cemetery west of Willard, Mo.
