Jason Wayne Sanders, 36, of Springfield, Missouri passed away February 11, 2017.  He was born Oct. 8, 1980 in Overland Park, KS, the son of Gary and Sandy Sanders.

Jason, along with his family, moved to Springfield in 1984.  He graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1999 and went on to attend Southwest Missouri State, where he was a part of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.  After college, Jason started in the fire protection business and then fell in love with the framing business, he loved building houses.

Jason was a passionate person who loved riding his bike, working out, making people laugh and loving the Lord.  He made an impression on everyone he met.

Jason is survived by his father Gary; mother Sandy; his two sisters and their husbands, Heather and Chuck Chandler, their children Rhys and Reyn of Cleveland, OH; and Lindsey and Christopher Strok of Rogers, AR; his maternal grandparents Carl and Dorthy Walter of Rogers, AR; uncles Glenn Sanders of Memphis, TN, David and wife Susan Sanders of Nashville, TN, James and wife Susan Sanders of Charlotte, NC and Tim and wife Sherry Walter of Hilliard, OH; cousins and a host of loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray and June Sanders, of Memphis, TN.

Memorial services will be Saturday May 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, located at 1947 E. Seminole.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to fundraise.worldbicyclerelief.org/remembering-jason
