IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jason B.
Mummert
June 14, 1975 – August 11, 2024
Jason Bert Mummert of Lees Summit, Missouri, passed away on August 11, 2024, from complications due to a sudden illness. Jason, age 49, was born on June 14, 1975, to his parents (deceased) Donald Bruce Mummert and Patty Sue Mummert of Springfield, Missouri. Jason graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1994 and from Southwest Missouri State University in 1999 with a Bachelor's in business administration. After college, Jason moved to Kansas City, Missouri, for a career advancement and stayed for the remainder of his life. While in KC, he worked in different business capacities, but thoroughly enjoyed his last employment with Reece Nichols Real Estate Agency helping families find their home.
Jason was the life of the party and never knew a stranger. He always encouraged booking countless vacations and experiencing new places. He loved supporting the Royals and the Chiefs to multiple championships. Jason was also a huge American history buff and enjoyed going to museums/places of historical significance. He was very into politics and always advocated via social media or by voting for change. Overall, he was always the funniest person in the room and the one you wanted to sit next to at family dinners.
He was an active family member of the McCullah Wasson Family Reunion and served as secretary during the final years of his life.
Jason was a skeptic of religion but knew he wanted to make a change towards the end. On the final days of his life on earth, Jason accepted Jesus into his heart as his Lord and Savior and was promised an eternity with our heavenly father.
Although much more could be said of Jason's time with us, he is now reunited with his father, Donald Mummert, Aunt, Linda Mummert, and two beloved sets of grandparents, Wilbert "Webb" and Nellie Jo Reynolds, Donald Mummert Sr. and Grace Mummert.
He is survived by his daughter, Grace Bellalayne Mummert, mother, Patty Mummert, sister, Stacy Combs (husband Randy Fayetteville, Arkansas), brother, Jeffrey Mummert (Springfield), niece, Abby Grace Combs, nephew, Cooper Combs, and dog, Herschel Obama Mummert.
