Janice worked for St. John's (Mercy) hospital for 34 years in many different aspects. She was an instructor at St. John's School of Nursing and spent most of her years on the cardiac floor. After retiring she pursued her love of ministry and became a Methodist Pastor for almost 15 years. She was a long-time member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. After retiring from ministry, she was a member of Schweitzer Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the Alzheimer's Association, Juanita K. Her adventures have taken her to all fifty states, multiple countries including Israel and Africa. Her pride and joy were her great niece and nephew, James Buckner and Mindy (Buckner) Frazier. She never missed a sporting event, awards banquet, or special occasion they were a part of. She also shared her love of traveling by taking her niece and nephew to Florida to Disney World and Hawaii.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Sam and Marian, sister, E. Jean Buckner and brother-in-law Alfred Buckner, nephew Steve and (wife) Jan Buckner, niece, Julie Buckner, four great nephews, Kirk, Dennis, Timmy, and Michael Buckner. She missed them all dearly and now is having the most amazing reunion in heaven with them all.
She is survived by her great-nephew, James Buckner of Marshfield, great-niece, Mindy Frazier and husband Rob of Ozark, two great-great nephews she absolutely adored, Cale and Creek Frazier and a host of precious friends.
