Janette McClure, 74 of Republic was born in 1948 in Southern Illinois the daughter of Gene and Evelyn Jackson and departed this life July 21, 2023.

She moved with her family at a very young age to the Colorado Springs area where she grew up.  After high school she graduated from a school of cosmetology and worked as a professional hairdresser for several years.

She married Don Nall and they had three children, Connie, Donnie and Cheryl.  She moved to Springfield in the 1980's.  She was wed to Henry Allen "Hank" McClure in 1989.  They had almost 34 years together.  Hank declares God never blessed any man more then he blessed me with my sweet Jan.  She was such a special lady.  This kind Godly woman touched many lives.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Connie and Cheryl, her parents and other relatives.

Jan is survived by her husband; son, Donnie Nall and wife, Michele of Springfield; stepchildren, Regina Johnson and husband, Richard of Strafford, and Chuck McClure of Springfield; eight grandkids, 11 great-grandkids; sister, Virginia Youngdahl and husband, Gunard of Hollister, and several nieces and nephews.

If God only picks roses He picked a very special one this past week.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11 AM in White Chapel Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Darrell Walker officiating, pastor of Jan and Hank's church under the care of Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home.
