IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janette E.
Keltner
February 13, 1930 – March 21, 2022
Janette Elinor (Hartley) Keltner, 92, of Rogersville, Missouri passed away March 21, 2022.
Janette was born on February 13, 1930, in Ozark, Missouri to Ralph and Blanche (Lawing) Hartley. Janette attended school in Ozark and graduated in 1948. Janette met her future husband, Kyle A. (Tommy) Keltner, while going to movies with her family at the Ozark Theatre. They married June 6, 1948, and celebrated 73 years of marriage.
Janette was a wonderful mother to her two sons, Kurt R. and Kim W. She devoted herself to the love and care of her family always encouraging and available to help at a moment's notice. Her relationship with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was her priority. Her favorite thing was to see her grandchildren run across the field after school to play cards and have snacks. They were doing that even into high school. Any misbehavior by her grandchildren was followed by an appropriate Bible verse. Her great-grandchildren were fortunate enough to know and love her as well. She was a wonderful example to us all. Her often-repeated lesson to her family was to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Janette lived by this truth her entire life. We have a lifetime of wonderful memories of Janette. Her love and care for us all will be truly missed.
Janette was a lifetime member of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a devoted member and lived her life in service to her church and God.
Janette was preceded in death by her husband Kyle (Tommy), her parents, her older sister Margaret Ann Hartley (a missionary in Brazil), and granddaughter Kori (Keltner) Driver. She is survived by her two sons and their wives: Kurt and Kim (Johnson) Keltner, Kim W. and Nancy (Ash) Keltner; three grandsons, Kregg, Kasey, and Klint; one granddaughter, Kari; along with their spouses; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Intrepid Hospice for providing comforting care during the final weeks of Janette's life.
As per Janette's wishes, a private graveside service will be held for the immediate family under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
