Janet Nelson

Janet Lee Vaught Kincade Nelson, 73, Springfield, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022.  She was born June 14, 1949 in Springfield, the daughter of Roscoe and Thelma Vaught.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Joseph "RJ" Nelson.

Janet is survived by her best friend and daughter, Kim Franklin and her husband, Todd; three brothers, Jack and John Gossard and David Kincade; three sisters, Carolyn Hasten, Carmen Mercer and Charlotte Gossman; her wonderful grandchildren, Tabbi and Trevor; and numerous and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with burial to follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
