Jane Ann Stewart, age 59, of Springfield, MO passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 after losing her courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 20, 1952 in St. Louis, MO on the first day of spring. Raised in Kirkwood, MO she moved to Springfield, MO in 1971 to attend SMSU, where she met the love of her life, Dave Stewart. They were united in marriage on October 16, 1976 and were blessed with two wonderful children and a precious grandson. Jane was born to be a grandma and her two year old grandson, Max, was the light of her life. Family and friends were her greatest joy and nothing made her happier than spending time with those she loved. She attended South Street Christian Church. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Ann Hammett; aunt and uncle, Arthur and Cara Wolf; beloved cousin, Patty Gould; and a very dear friend, Debbie Glover. She is survived by her husband, Dave Stewart; daughter, Kelley Bolton and husband Ashley, and their two children, Avery and Max; son, Ryan Stewart; and a host of precious friends and family whom meant so much to her through the years. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 3 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ozarks Honor Flight in Jane's honor. Rest well weary soldier.
