James "Gene" Webb, 81, of Springfield, MO passed away at 9:05 AM July 14, 2009 in Mercy Villa Care Center. He was born Dec. 7, 1927 in Springfield, MO the son of the late Shirley and Opal Webb. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and a sister June Klepper Thomas. He married Peggy Bishop June 3, 1957. Gene is survived by his wife Peggy a nephew Tom Klepper and wife Danja, a great-nephew Don Klepper and wife Brandi, and great great-niece and nephew Elaine and Thomas Klepper. He loved life and numerous friends. Gene was always quick with a joke and smile. He had many talents but his pride and joy was when he started Gene's Gallery. Gene loved belonging and going to Schweitzer United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at 10a.m. July 16, 2009 until service time at 11a.m. in Schweitzer United Methodist Church, with Reverend Bob Casady officiating, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Internment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gene's memory to the Schweitzer United Methodist Church, 2747 E. Sunshine St., Springfield, MO 65804.
