James Hubert "Jim" Riebold, 62, of Springfield, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 at 1:25 p.m. He was born July 15, 1949 in Springfield, Mo., to Hubert A. and Margaret A. Prewitt Riebold. Jim was a 1967 graduate of Greenwood High School. He also attended MSU and the University of Arizona. He was an avid supporter of the Humane Society, and was formerly the director of their facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jim also resided in Mena, Arkansas before returning to Springfield twelve years ago. Jim is survived by his wife Jeanne; son, Zachery James Reibold; two sisters, Patti Riebold, and Wanda Young; and uncle, Floyd Riebold. Memorial service will be held in Grace United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 2p.m. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Diana Smith will be officiating the services, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
