James Albert Pesek, 73, Rogersville, MO passed away at 10:56 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Mercy Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in St. Louis, MO September 19, 1941 to Albert and Helen Pesek. He was united in marriage to Christina Lynn Pesek on July 11, 1964. James was an avid outdoorsman, a master wood craftsman and a US Navy Veteran. Dad, while you have left this life to begin anew in the presence of our Lord God and savior we find comfort in knowing that you have been reunited with those who have gone before. In this we wish not to say goodbye rather we choose to say we will see you again in the future until then we will feel your presence in all that we do from this day to that. Love, Brian, Gayle and Kenny. James is survived by his two sons, Brian K. Pesek, and Kenneth M. Pesek, both of Nixa, MO; a daughter, Gayle L. Pesek-Danels, Ozark, MO; a sister, Myra Kunz and her husband James Kunz, St. Louis, MO; ten grandchildren, Cameron, Caitlyn, Christian, Tanner, Bailey, Nickolas, Kassandra, Tyler, Paul and Christina. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at St. Agnes Cathedral in Springfield, MO with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., with Father Mike McDevitt celebrant.
