Jim was employed by J.J. Newberry Department Store on the square.  He was also employed by J.C. Penny's in their custom decorating department and by Heintz Lighting Company.  While at J.C. Penny's, Jim received a Silver award from Tiffany and Company.  He completed over two million in sales and won various design and customer service awards during his 15 years with Penny's.

Jim enjoyed buying vintage homes and remodeling them.  He also enjoyed roadster sports cars.

Survivors include a sister, Charlotte (Sam) McClure, nieces, Marisa (Kurt) Fisher and Brittany McClure, a grand niece, Whitney Fisher all of Omaha, NE.  Other relatives, close friends; Wes Garrett and Paul Bellotti, and many other friends, cousins, and neighbors.
