James C. Knauer of Springfield, Missouri passed away on March 7, 2023 at the age of 73. He was the son of Robert C. and Mary A. Knauer who preceded him in death along with his brother Bobby. He was a retired warehouseman.

Jimmy joined the Boy Scouts as a boy and proceeded through the ranks earning the Ad Altare Dei, and Order of the Arrow awards and achieving Eagle Scout. He was able to attend the Boy Scout Jamboree in Washington D. C. Jimmy was a lover of the outdoors and was able to attend Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in New Mexico where he acquired his lifelong distaste of Melba Toast.

He is survived by his son Justin Knauer, his grandson Aven Knauer, his sister Katherine Eubanks, and his nephew Eric Knauer.

Graveside Service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in Maple Park Cemetery.
