James F. "Jim" Williams, 88, of Springfield, passed away on July 16, 2018. He was born July 14, 1930 to David Fed and Genelle Williams. Jim graduated from Rolla High School in 1948. Jim served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952. He managed the Family Shoe Store in Springfield for many years.

He was a faithful member and deacon at Glendale Baptist Church and was a past president of the Ozark Empire Kiwanis Club and the Commercial St. Club. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a spouse, Rosemarie Williams; son, Jamie D. Williams; step-daughter, Pam Wilson; and brother, Joe N. Williams.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy Williams, daughter, Fedra (Brady) Baker, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many other close family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Glendale Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 19, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
