IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Foley
May 14, 1928 – March 11, 2017
James S. Foley, 88, passed away on March 11, 2017. Jim was born May 14, 1928 in St. Louis, MO and adopted by the most loving, caring parents any little boy could ever ask for, Bryan and Katherine Foley. Jim was raised in Joplin, MO and graduated from McCauley Catholic High School and attended Crowder College in Neosho, MO before enlisting in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After the Army, Jim went to work at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, where he spent the next 34 years working through many departments and locations. Jim took early retirement and spent the next 34 years enjoying life, traveling, playing golf and being with friends and family. Jim dearly loved the game of golf and tried to play every course he could find and could tell you about every shot on every hole. Jim was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 409 and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Jim was preceded in death by his loving parents and his son Jamie.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of the home, sons Steve (Debbie) of Springfield, Mark (Gayla) of Springfield, Chris of Dallas TX, Kent (Michelle) of Phoenix, AZ, Jeff (Brandi) of Sanford, FL, daughter Tuesday Edwards (Craig) of Swayzee, IN, grandchildren Danielle, Vincent, Taylor, Thatcher, Madeleine, Alyssa, Riley and Chase; and a new great-granddaughter Eleanor.
