James Loyd Donaldson, 67, of Springfield, MO passed away on Wednesday July 11, 2012 in his home. He was born November 7, 1944 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Alvin Russell Donaldson and Velda Smith Donaldson. He was a veteran of the US Navy. James is survived by wife, Connie Donaldson; step-father, Claude Mingus; son, Garian Allen Donaldson and wife Shawna; stepson, Dannie Wayne Bates and wife Kelli; sister, Judy Oberbeck; and grandchild, Kadence Donaldson; and step-grandson, Logan Cantrell. Graveside service will be Wednesday, July 18 at 9:00am at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Oxford Hospice.
