Jim Day, born Sept. 21 1948, passed away Oct. 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Day. He is survived by his mother, Billie Day, of Springfield, Mo.; and his daughter, Joceanna Day, of Lawrence, Kan. Jim had several interesting careers during his life, but is best known by his friends for his eloquent gift of gab, his sharp intellect and his keen wit. An inspiration to many for his unyielding will to "Press on Regardless" in the face of many challenges. He was a man who thought deeply, loved openly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him well. There will be a memorial service and celebration of his life at his home at 1005 Minnehaha, Nixa, Mo., on Sun. Oct. 17th, at 2 p.m. Call 417-724-9470.
