Rich, rugged, Bluff-Earth dripping vines and fern in ever-running waterfalls of beauty. Leaf tides blowing in over steep rocky paths leading to magic forest vistas. Quiet farm gracing rich wide river bottoms or nestled comfortably in small hidden valleys. Special People straight forward as the natural beauty they live with everyday. Arkansas- The place where you go when it's time to come home.
James Blanchard Condry was born April 24, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Penson and Edith (Blanchard) Condry. From Branson High School he attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he earned a BA in History, a MA in Political Science, and a Juris Doctorate. In 1976 on a dare and a prayer, Jim and Bobi (Rush) began their 40 year marriage, Abby arriving in 1982 and Clayton in 1984. The rivers and streams called Jim back to the Ozarks where he first practiced with the Woolsey, Fisher, Whiteaker and Stenger Law Firm. He grew professionally under the tutelage of strong and savvy trial attorneys from many vital firms in the area. In 2007, he limited his practice to Alternative Dispute Resolution at which he was accomplished and renowned. He loved his profession deeply, his friends seamlessly and his family unconditionally. He will be missed on all levels.
Jim was a member of the Missouri Bar, the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association and was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. Jim was one of the first attorneys to undergo specialized training in the area of mediation and arbitration, beginning such training in 1990. He has been a Fellow in the American College of Civil Trial Mediators since 2000, and a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, mediating over 2000 disputes in various jurisdictions. He served as Chair for the Missouri Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the years 1994-1998. Jim also served in that same capacity for the Springfield Metropolitan Bar ADR Committee for the years 1993-1998. He also graciously offered his expertise in mediation and arbitration by speaking before numerous professional associations over the last several years, including the Missouri Defense Lawyer Association (MODL) and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) and the University of Missouri School of Law.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Bobi; daughter, Abby and her husband, Dan Dunn, New York City; son, Clayton, Oklahoma City; and sister, Nancy Condry, New York City.
