James Ralph Bailey of Springfield, Missouri went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in body and spirit on December 19, 2013. He was met at the gates of Heaven by his parents; Helen Cecelia Bailey Woods, and Charles Lee Bailey Jr, grandparents; Charles Lee Bailey Sr and Suzanne Bailey, Cecil Manier and Arzetta Manier Knox, who preceded him in death. His funny spirits, laughter, love and joy leaves behind nine siblings to mourn his loss. Charlotte Seeby and husband William of Derby, Kansas; Herschel Bailey Sr. and wife Sandra of Springfield, Missouri; Donnegun Bailey of Springfield, Missouri; Reginald Bailey of Springfield, Missouri; John Bailey of St. Louis, Missouri; Youlanda Herron and husband Tony of Springfield, Missouri; Bruce Bailey of Springfield, Missouri; Charles Lee Bailey III and wife Lisa of Springfield, Missouri; and Victoria Kerr and husband Greg of Springfield, Missouri. James leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who affectionately called him "Uncle Jimmy", and also dear friends who knew him as "Fast". "Jimmy" loved cooking, baseball, dancing, singing, telling stories from his youth, and being around friends and family. His laughter was contagious and his spirit will be missed by his family dearly. We take comfort in knowing that he is truly resting in the Lord our God and that at the end of our respective journeys, we too will see him again in the Great Meeting in the sky with our Lord God.
