IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James (Jim)
Arnold Quesenberry
February 15, 1956 – January 12, 2023
James (Jim) Arnold Quesenberry gained his heavenly legs and wings on January 12, 2023 and marched into heaven, whole in body and spirit, full of grace and everlasting peace.
Jimmy Q was born February 15, 1956 in Waynesville, MO to Chester and Cora Quesenberry, who preceded him in death. He graduated from high school in Grandview, MO and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing at Central Missouri State University. Jim founded Corporate Business Systems in 1993, serving a four-state region with ground-breaking office technology and information systems solutions. He made extensive business connections with a wide network of friends and business partners and was well known for making silly TV advertisements poking fun at his lack of hair.
Jim was a generous contributor to multiple organizations in the Springfield community, including serving as a board member for the American Red Cross. He made multiple international mission trips to build hospitals in developing countries as a member of the Heart of the Ozarks Sertoma Club. Jim was also active in the Southeast Rotary Club of Springfield, where he was named a Paul Harris fellow. He was an active member of the Venues Church in Springfield.
After a tragic accident in 2014, Jim faced physical challenges and obstacles with courage, determined to live a full life on his own terms. He continued to travel and inspire others with his perseverance, quick wit, and joyful spirit. Jim found his happy place atop his prized lawnmower, caring for the grounds around his beloved property, and solving the world's problems whether he was mowing, watching the sunset, burning leaves, or hanging out with the deer. He was greatly looking forward to the arrival of a new grandchild in February.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carrie, and daughters, Kalie Quesenberry and Shannon (Samuel) Crawford. He is also survived by siblings Karen (Claude) Massie, Roger Quesenberry, Rhonda (Roger) Langendoerfer, Chuck (Becky) Quesenberry, and Jan (Robert) Caskey, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Helms, nephews Michael Browning, Quade Quesenberry, and a precious grandbaby, Zion.
A celebration of life is planned on Saturday, February 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge 409 in Springfield. The family invites everyone who loved Jimmy Q to join in this celebration. Memorial gifts can be made to Women in Need of the Ozarks, P.O. Box 4626, Springfield, MO 65808.
