Obituary

Jacqueline Louise Evans, 92, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 in Ravenwood Assisted Living. She was born in Springfield on July 4, 1924 to Martha Lewis and Lawrence Lee Harless. Jacque's family resided in the Elwood Community and she was a graduate of Willard High School class of 1942. She went to work for Frisco Railroad later that year and retired in 1984 as a Supervisor in the Records Department after 42 years of service. She was a member of King's Way United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, Jacque was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Jack O. Evans on Apr. 17, 2015, her younger son Kenneth Lewis Evans on Feb. 16, 1992, her sisters Laura Lee Lynott and Ruth Ann Young, and brother Buster Harless.

She is survived by her son, Russell Lee Evans of Nixa, granddaughter Carlee (Miles) Evans Brown and their son Beckham Brown "BB," nephews Jeff (Judy) Young, Todd (Nancy) Young, and Thomas Lynott, and niece Joann Benefield.

Inurnment will be held at King's Way Columbarium following a private family service, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Child Advocacy Center, 1033 E. Walnut, Springfield, MO 65806. Online condolences may be made at www.gormanscharpf.com.
