Jack R. Tucker, 84, of Springfield passed away peacefully Wednesday morning in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 2, 1932 in McAlester, OK, the son of Earl and Nannie Tucker.

He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and was on active duty from Jan. 1953 – Dec. 1956 and the reserves until 1961.

Jack was a businessman until his retirement.

He loved to barbeque, golf and fish and was raised in the Presbyterian faith.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma; daughter Cyndi Alden (Ed); son Mike Tucker (Linda); four grandchildren, Erin, Kelsey, Regina, and Jeritt; and four great-grandchildren.

Private memorial graveside service with full military honors will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
