Jack Rudolph Wesenberg, 94, of Springfield passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 in Cox South Hospital. He was born May 5, 1919 in Fort Worth, TX to Rudolph Emil and Lelia Wesenberg. He was married to Marjorie Nadine Davidson January 5, 1946 in South Street Christian Church. He was a member of South Street Christian Church and a 50 year member of Twin Oaks Country Club. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club where he fitted shoes on children for over 20 years. Jack served 5 years in the US Army. He enlisted before Pearl Harbor, served one and half years at Fort Leonard Wood, attended Engineering Officers Candidate School in Fort Belvoir, VA, and then served in South Africa, Italy, the Invasion of Southern France, and Germany. He retired after 37 years with Elkin-Swyers Printing Company. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Nadine Wesenberg. Funeral Services will be Monday, September 16, 2013 at 10:00AM in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral home with visitation beginning at 9:00AM. Burial with full military honors will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
