IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jack E.
Sisco
March 16, 1935 – May 30, 2024
Jack E. Sisco, age, 89 of Springfield, Missouri was welcomed into heaven at 10:00 pm May 30th, 2024, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mo.
He was born the son of Clyde and America Delila Sisco of Bennett Springs, Missouri in 1935.
He was a member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Sisco, his mother Delila Sisco, his son-in-law Bradley Thummel, his brother-in-law Max Tyndall, sister-in-law Sharon Sisco and his nephew, Geoff Tyndall.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sue Sisco. Additionally, he is survived by his two daughters - Kim Yarham and her husband Tim, as well as Jacque Thummel and granddaughter Savanna Yarham. He is also survived by his sister Jo Birchler and her husband Ray, brother Jerry Sisco, sister-in-law Doris Tyndall, along with many nieces and nephews.
At just 17 years old, he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War. After his discharge he continued serving his community as a member of the Naval Reserves. Beyond his military service, he was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Springfield. However, the role he took greatest pride in was that of a hardworking, over-the-road truck driver, navigating the highways and delivering goods throughout the Midwest. No task was too difficult or burden too heavy, he always approached his work with a tireless work ethic and dedication. He was the type of person who would gladly give you the shirt off his back or the last bite of his meal. His heart was as big as the great outdoors he loved so much. The lake was his haven, and he found great pleasure in hunting and fishing.
As we bid farewell, we remember the joy he brought into our lives. His gentle spirit will continue to be with us in our memories. He was truly a remarkable soul who will be greatly missed but we know he's out there on the ultimate fishing trip, with the sun on his face, the wind at his back, and having a big-time catching fish.
His warmth and kindness touched many lives.
