Age 90
Jack left for Glory on Sunday October 27, 2024.
He was born the son of C.H. Linn and Virginia Morris Linn and is a decent of the Missouri pioneer Morris family of Marionville, MO.
He married Pat, his high school sweetheart, in 1956.
Jack loved the Navy, which afforded him worldwide travel of 27 foreign countries which gave him a lasting love of the ocean and travel. His "happy place" was being in the ocean with all travel focused on a beach. Being President of the Board of Directors of a Maui property, provided him and Pat countless ocean adventures.
His many accomplishments include but not limited to; Fire Control Technician in the U.S Navy, Convair Missile and Space (Mercury & Gemi) projects while earning his BS at San Diego State University, San Diego County Deputy Sherriff, owned and operated a sporting goods store and apple orchards, and a home builder in California and Missouri. When he thought he had retired, he worked in the Osmond and Charlie Pride/Oak Ridge Boys theaters in Branson, MO.
Faithfully dedicated time to his church family as a deacon, teacher and when needed maintenance and, remodeling. Was active in the Operation Christmas Child ministry through Samaritan Purse, however being a part of the team at First Baptist, Kimberling City brought him deep joy.
Jack was known to family and friends as "Mr. Fix It" and he would never say no to a "To Do List".
Survived by Pat his beloved wife of 68 years, two daughters, Martha Linn of Wenatchee, Wash., Denise Linn of Nixa, Mo., nephew Ryan Washman of Calif., Jon Chong of Canada who is like a nephew and the countless forever friends gleamed through the years through church families.
He is proceeded in death by his parents and one brother Charles Linn.
Military Services will be held at 11a.m. CST Friday November 1st, 2024 at the Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO. No visitation is scheduled.
