Jack B. Lindsay 86, Springfield, MO, passed away on August 11,2012. He was born August 19, 1925 in Conway, MO to Dr. John and Grace Lindsay. Jack received a basketball scholarship to Drury University, which was interrupted by World War II. He served in the Army until the end of the war, after which he attended Missouri State University. He attended the university for four years, playing basketball under Coach Andy McDonald. Jack retired after 35 years as an agent with State Farm Insurance. He is survived by his wife, Nadine, to whom he was married 63 years. Also surviving are his son John Lindsay and wife Vicki; his daughter Julie Lindsay; four grandchildren Alyssa, Nathan, Angelina and Cassandra and two sisters, Bernice Dodson and Charline Lindsay. In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to be made to Unity of Springfield if you so desire. Memorial services will be held at Unity Church 2214 E. Seminole on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Sue Baggett-Spears officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Cremation and private burial will be at a later date.
