Imogene H. Robinette, 91, of Springfield, died peacefully on December 22, 2018. She was born August 30, 1927, in Yocum, AR, daughter of Franklin and Allie.

Imogene was one of 16 siblings and was raised in the Yocum area, graduating from Green Forest High School in 1947. After a brief stay with family in Colorado, Imogene moved to Springfield, MO in 1948 where she remained, attending school at Draughons Business College and working in the garment industry. She was proud of having provided for herself, but she was most proud of being part of her church family at High Street Baptist and later South Side Baptist churches. After retirement, she spent years loving and working with children through the Foster Grandparent Program.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and her friends at South Side Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Yocum Cemetery in Yocum, AR, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
