Ida Lee Manuel Forrest, 65, died Saturday, August 27th, 2011 in her home, surrounded by those who loved her. She was born on December 3, 1945. She had one daughter, Pearl Marie. Ida Lee worked for Springfield Workshop for the last 27 years. Ida loved working and did not want to miss a day of work unless it was necessary. Ida lived life to the fullest, and embraced the challenges of her life with strength and a smile. She brightened the lives of everyone who knew her. She put life in perspective for all of us. You knew that Ida considered you her friend if she said "I like you". She was a member of the Arc of the Ozarks and resided at Sagamont Group Home. She is survived by her wonderful housemates, friends and staff whom she considered her family. Ida loved to attend Arc dances and participated in the Special Olympics winning medals, ribbons and trophies. Ida loved cheeseburgers, french fries and Pepsi One. You would rarely see her without her red lipstick on and bright colorful necklaces around her neck. We love you and will miss you Ida Lee. We "like you" too.
