Hubert Lee "Hub" Breuer, 87 of Springfield passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 8:53 AM in ManorCare Health Services. He was born May 8, 1925 in Granby, Missouri to Hubert and Amanda Horn Breuer. On September 1, 1946 he married Constance E. Rogers in Neosho, Missouri. He served his country as a pilot and flight instructor in the Army Air Corps. Hub was baptized on October 8, 2010 at Sunset Church of Christ. He was a charter member of Springfield Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and skeet and trap shooting. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Mark Alan Breuer and a sister, Grace Greer. Hub is survived by his wife, Constance; a son Stanley Breuer and wife, Edith of Barn Hill, IL, a daughter Pamela Breuer of Oldfield, MO, a daughter, Kimberley Horton of Springfield, and a son Jeffrey Breuer and wife, Julie of Springfield, MO; a sister, Berneice Wolfenbarger of Oklahoma; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, May 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Joe Bright officiating. Burial will follow in Missouri Veteran's Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 PM until service time in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
