Homer "Jolly" Boyd, 83, Springfield, MO passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Mercy Hospital.

Homer was a member of Gibson Chapel Presbyterian Church and a founding member of the well known vocal group, The Philharmonics. He was also a member of Truth Lodge #151.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mercedes Boyd and brothers, Samuel, Harold, Elder and Andrew Boyd.

Homer is survived by his wife Bettye Boyd, a son, Homer Farris, a sister, Stacie Wair and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00 am in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the Reverend Donald Glunt officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
