Helene M. Ryan, 70, of Bolivar, Missouri, formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, surrounded by her devoted husband, children, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law.

Born on April 28, 1955, in Philadelphia, Helene was a woman full of life, humor, and boundless love. She found joy in laughter, cherished her friendships, and was deeply devoted to her family. Among her greatest joys was spending time with her beloved husband, Robert J. Ryan, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and unforgettable adventures.

Helene was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, a caring sister, aunt, and friend. She had a special love for animals and was never without the loyal companionship of her cherished pets.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Ryan; her children, Kimberly Asante (Charles Asante), Andrew Aguilar (Diego Aguilar), and Tiffany Wood (Christopher Wood); her grandchildren, Kiersten Holmond,Christopher Asante, and Addison Wood; and her great-grandchild, Kylyn Dru Langley.

She is also survived by her sister, Dottie Barziloski (Veto Barziloski) and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Helene was preceded in death by her father, Leo Harrigan; her mother, Elizabeth Harrigan; her sisters, Marie Harrigan and Elizabeth Gleason; and her brother, Leo Harrigan Jr.

Helene's heart, her laughter, and her selfless spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the gift of knowing her.

Helene loved all flowers, but roses held a special place in her heart-especially yellow roses, her favorite.
