IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen L.
Hall
August 29, 1930 – December 12, 2024
Helen L. Hall left her earthly home to be with her Savior in her Heavenly home on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the age of 94. She was the daughter of James and Radie (McGee) Tiller, born on August 29, 1930, the youngest of six children. On August 8, 1950, Helen and Joe Hall were married in Beaumont, TX and shared almost 70 years before his passing in 2020. While they were in Texas, Joe received his papers to head to Korea so their first couple of years of married life were sadly spent apart.
Her family joined Northwest Baptist Church when she was 5 years old. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at age 9. She was the oldest member of Northwest Baptist Church at her passing. She attended Northwest for as long as her health would allow. She loved her church and served in many ways including Sunday School and VBS teacher and officer of the WMU (Women's Missionary Union). She loved to serve others through providing meals and visiting the shut-ins.
Joe and Helen were blessed with a son, Gary. Helen always wanted a daughter and while Gary was growing up, he had a special cousin his own age, Denise, who met that need and was like a sister to Gary. Nancy tried to fill that desire when she joined the family. She so loved her two grandchildren, Bradley and Heather, and thought the world of her eight great grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her son, Gary and wife, Nancy of Willard; grandson, Brad (Amanda) Hall of Willard and granddaughter, Heather Bechtel of Belton, MO. Her pride and joys—eight great grandchildren—McKenna, Clara and Liam Bechtel; and Abby, David, Micah, Nora and Ruby Hall; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe, all five siblings and their spouses.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Helen's name to the Lottie Moon Christmas fund (foreign missions) which she was very faithful to give to while she could through Northwest Baptist Church, 3075 W Norton Rd, Springfield, MO, 65803.
