Helen Darlene Guynn was born on October 5, 1935. She went home to the Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 6:35am at the age of 83. Helen was born in Willard, Missouri and attended 12 years of school there and was an honor roll student. She became a Christian and was Baptized in 1952 at the age of 17. She worked as a seamstress most of her life.
Helen was a devoted and loving wife, and a wonderfully amazing mother of four. Anyone who met her would say, "She was a sweet soul." She touched many lives with her unconditional caring and giving to others. Helen attended Sunshine Baptist Church where she served the Lord by helping to prepare meals for the members. She was a remarkable mother, a person who never complained about anything, and would always give a caring smile to anyone she met. Helen was a woman of great strength and independence. We are proud of you mother. Rest in God's Peace.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents (Hobert and Lilly), her husband (Paul Delbert Guynn), 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
She is survived by her children, Sheryl Guynn (TX), Michael Guynn and wife Angie, Carol Mackey and husband J.D., Ida Guynn, and Eric Stevens; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister (Alice Stehle and husband Neal), a sister-in-law (Norma Hughes), many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 12:00 p.m until 1:30 p.m, with a graveside service starting at 2:00 p.m. at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
