Helen Stout Gibson, a former resident of Springfield, passed away in Mandeville, LA on September 21, 2018 just shy of 102 years old.  She was born October 14, 1916 in Barry County, MO to Necie Trimble Stout and Michael Wardlaw Stout.  She married Oba Clarence Gibson in 1939 and celebrated 53 years of marriage prior to his death in 1993.  She leaves a son, Dr. David M. Gibson and daughter-in-law, Sharon L. Gibson, also Granddaughter Brooke G. Foret and Grandson-in-law Mark N. Foret,  Grandson Jonathan D. Gibson and Granddaughter-in-law Olivia K. Gibson, and joins her Grandson, Christopher D. Gibson, deceased.  She is also survived by two Great-grandsons, Luke C. Foret and Landry J. Foret.  She was a former member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church.  She retired as Office Manager of Lincoln National Life Insurance  Co. in 1977.

Graveside services will be held at Eastlawn Cemetery on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10 am.
