Hazel Irene Heller, 85 of Springfield passed away at 1:15 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 in Springfield after a short illness. She was born November 26, 1926 in Fort Scott, Kansas. Hazel was united in marriage to Robert Heller on January 30, 1946 in Fort Scott, Kansas. Hazel and her husband were baptized together on March 23rd, 1969 at Glenstone Baptist Church. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Denny, five brothers, John, Joseph, Roy, Robert and Ernest Denny and three sisters, Helen Baldwin, Josephine Morlen, and Lucile Martin. She is survived by her husband, Robert Heller, of Springfield, MO; a daughter, Patricia Ash, husband, Merle, Aurora, MO; two granddaughters, Debra Campbell, husband, Keith, and Karen Hood, husband, Mike, four great-granddaughters, Noelle Hood, Elizabeth Woods, Kori Campbell, and Kristen Campbell, a great-grandson, Kasen Campbell, all of Springfield, MO; a brother, Walter Denny, Park Hills, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2012, in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with the Reverend Jesse Roberds officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time at 1:00 PM.
