On December 17th, 2015, Harvey passed away peacefully at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. Harvey was 76 years old.

Harvey is survived by his son, Darren and his wife Jennifer Lavan and their daughter Camille, son Jason and his wife Marla, niece Chandra McAmis and her husband Brian and their children Connor and Sophia, and Marcia the mother of his sons. He is preceded in death by his sister Jean Ann Huxol.

Harvey was born in Washington, D.C. on April 9th, 1939. He was the son of Dorothy Ailene and Harvey William Huxol, Sr. Harvey. He was a Mason and graduated from Central High School in Springfield Mo. He attended Drury and Grinnell Universities.

Growing up, Harvey was a part of 1950's Americana. Racing his Packard straight 8 '40 Olds ragtop, cruising the A&W drive-in, and belonging to the hotrod clubs of the day were some his fondest early memories.

Eventually Harvey obtained his pilot's license and sold Mooney aircraft, a plane and company which he admired to the end. Story goes that after the shop closed, he and his buddies would fly the planes and play dogfight. He proudly passed away with his pilot's license in his wallet.

He enjoyed boating on Table Rock Lake in his sleeper Glastron boat with a ridiculously oversized Mercury Black Max outboard that shot a 30' high rooster tail in the air. He won many "outlaw" boat races putting a big grin on his face every time. Harvey remained in a sales capacity throughout his long career. If it was a beautiful well designed machine that transported something or somebody, he would sell it, from Mooney planes to White Semi trucks.

A chapel service is scheduled for Saturday 9:30 am, January 9th, 2016 at Gorman-Sharp Funeral Home in Springfield, MO followed by a burial ceremony at 11:00am at Hazelwood Cemetery.
