Harry Grant Hoffman, Jr. was born on January 11, 1947 in Springfield, MO. He passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 in Topeka, KS. Harry grew up in Springfield and attended Delaware, Jarrett, Parkview and MSU schools. He had a passion for classical music. He was a longtime supporter of the Springfield Symphony. He enjoyed playing the piano especially pieces by Beethoven and Mozart. While at MSU, he was a piano student of Wilfred Adler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry G. Hoffman and Margaret (Betty) Hoffman. He is survived by three cousins, Carolyn Wolfe, Edwin Hoffman and Richard Hoffman. Visitation will be Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be in Maple Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 413 E. Walnut St., Springfield, MO 65806 in his memory.
