Obituary

Harry King Carroll, 91, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 in his home. He was born on April 4, 1922. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in WWII and Korea. He was employed by several Circuit Board companies locally and also did a variety of other jobs including small engine repair. He was an active member of Knights of Columbus Council 698. Harry was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia A. Carroll; parents Leo and Anna King Carroll; half sister, Sondra McIntosh; and brothers, Jim and Ken Carroll. He is survived by his wife, Karen Carroll; daughters, Susan and husband Bob Terrill, Kelly and husband Rick Sigman, and Holly V. Cohn; son, Mike Carroll; grandchildren, Jennifer Chadwell, Alec, Ben and Colin Carroll, Private WM (Chance) Sigman, Kamron Sigman, Megan Perney; sister-in-law S. Kay and husband William S. Turner, brother-in-law Jeff and wife Melanie Gower and great-grandchildren Emma and Lucas Chadwell and Everely Olive Liu. Memorial mass will be Friday, April 19, 2013 at 10:00am in St. Agnes Cathedral with visitation to follow. Burial will be at 2:00pm in Springfield National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oxford Hospice, 3660 S. National, Springfield, MO 65807, or the South Side Senior Citizens Center, 2215 S. Fremont Ave. Springfield, MO 65804.
