Harold L. Christensen, M.D., 81, of Springfield, passed away on September 12, 2023 in Springfield. He was born to Harold L. and Evelyn M. (Vandeveer) Christensen on August 12, 1942 in Chicago, IL.

Harold was a retired cardiologist at the Ferrell-Duncan Clinic in Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Harold is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jean Ann Christensen of Springfield; sons Harold L. Christensen, III of Henderson, NV and Matt Christensen of Tulsa, OK; daughters Lisa Korb of Owasso, OK and Amy Neil of Overland Park, KS and brother, Curt Christensen of Chatham, IL, ten granddaughters, two grandsons, two nieces and one nephew.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 27, 2023 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Keeshond Club of America Health Fund, the Keeshond Club of America Rescue Fund, the American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
