Harold Eugene Buchert, 88, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born on May 1, 1935, and was the beloved husband of Edith. Hal was a devoted father to David Buchert (Robyn Creed), Jennifer Cannon (Peter Generous), and Carolyn Combs. He was also a cherished grandfather to Delaney Cannon, Taylor Combs, Cayden Combs, Jack Creed, and Seeley Creed.

Hal was the center of every gathering, known for his engaging stories, thoughtful prayers, and impeccable advice on the stock market. He was a proud father, a loving husband, and a great friend to all. Hal pursued higher education at the University of Ohio, Akron, and went on to have a successful career as the Director of Engineering for French's Foods and his consulting company B&A Engineering Consultants.

A ceremony to honor and remember Hal's life will be held on April 13th at 11 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Lutheran Children and Family Services or Springfield Lutheran School.

Hal will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
