Henry L. (Hank) Schreiber, 99, of Springfield, MO passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017.

He was born June 26, 1917 to William and Lela Schreiber in Branson, Missouri.

Hank was preceded in death by his wife of fifty eight years EvaLee Schreiber, his parents, two brothers, twin brother Harry, and William, four sisters, Delores, Alice, Bernice, and Augusta.

He retired from a twenty year career in the United States Navy after receiving his Masters in Social Work from the University of Central Missouri. Hank later began a second career as a Disabilities Determination Counselor for the Social Security Administration.

He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Twin Oaks Country Club, Elks Club, and numerous Republican Organizations and dance clubs.

Hank spent much of his family time with his nephew Rick Bilyeu and children Brittany, Chase, his niece Carolyn Smith (Mike) and children Amy, Brad and Josh.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the caring and compassionate staff in the Dogwood Neighborhood at Quail Creek.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery.
