Hallie M. (Pearl) Artz, 94, Springfield, passed away January 27, 2014. Hallie was born March 27, 1919 in Dekalb County, Mo., to Ray and Senia Pearl. She was retired from being a salesperson at Turner's Greenhouse and later at the Army Surplus Store. She was a member of Central Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Artz; a daughter, Cheryl Artz; and three brothers, Harold Pearl, Covel Pearl, and Willis Pearl. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Barbara Cooper and husband Clyde and Jill Callaway and husband Joe; three grandchildren, Julie Coffman and husband David, Amanda Callaway, Joseph Callaway and wife Suzy; seven great-grandchildren, Jonathan Coffman, Nick Coffman, Madelyn Coffman, Ryan Batt, Jaydon Ruble, Isaiah Batt, Grace Batt; and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 2 to 3 pm, with the funeral following at 3pm in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Interment will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery.
