H. Henry Janss, Jr., 69, Springfield, passed away at 1:10 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2011 in St. John's Hospital. He was born April, 21, 1942 in Springfield to Herman and Maudeva Janss. He was a graduate of Parkview High School. He was a self-employed contractor in Springfield for over 35 years. In 1990 he was united in marriage to Sherry Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Jon Calvin; grandmother, Mae Kennedy McCord and a daughter, Jeanette Lea Janss He is survived by his wife, Sherry; daughters, Lisa and Jennifer Janss, Springfield; step-daughters, Cindy Bench and husband Brent, Bolivar, MO and Paula Davis, Kansas City, MO and many grandchildren. No visitation is scheduled, however friends may call after 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Hazelwood Cemetery.
