Grover Hardy Carr, 91, of Springfield, MO passed away at 5:58 pm on Sunday the 8th of January in his home. Grover was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Masons, Shriners, the Jesters, and a member of the Spring Greene Investment Club and he owned and operated Hardy's Truck Parts with his Son for 53 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Carr; parents Frank and Laurel Carr; and a brother, Harold Carr. He is survived by a son, Gary Carr and wife Janis; grandchildren Kim Carr-Howard and husband Max; Kathy Bernet and husband Jeff; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a special friend Kiley Nowack. Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. until the funeral service time at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in the Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Private burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital.
